Art & Art History

I’m an art history enthusiast, particularly when it comes to the baroque movement (from roman sculptures to the dutch golden age and flemish baroque paintings), as well as related offspring, like the norwegian nationalist movement.

Some of my favorite works include Bernini’s Ecstasy of Saint Teresa, his Saint Longinus, Gude and Tidemand’s Bridal Procession on the Hardangerfjord, Hayez’s Il Bacio and both Klimt’s The Kiss and his Musik I.

I also like to do some art of my own, mostly digitally, and did so semi-professionally for a while in undergrad. It’s not very good, but it made it onto some indie album covers and paid for a coffee or three. You can see samples of it below.
